Settled way back away from the main road Sunnyfield Equestrian Farm is a haven for everyone that comes to ride here. Victoria "Vicky" Clark, owner/instructor/trainer has more than 30 years experience running commercial horse farms. Vicky and her husband moved from Connecticut to Tabor City, NC. Vicky enjoys the hunter/jumper style riding and has many championships in top shows in Lake Placid, NY and Darien, CT. Vicky wants to enjoy her farm while sharing her love for the hunter/jumper style riding with local residents.
It's not just getting on the horse but the before that is also fun. We learn how to brush the horses and in an order that accomplishes the best grooming. We also pick the feet -- something we usually see done by the blacksmith. All this is done in a fashion that is proper so that safety remains our number one priority. Saddling up could become confusing - "which way does the saddle go?" and for the bridle "Do we really have to make the horse open their mouth?" The riding lesson and grooming total one hour, but as the student learns the drill, riding time will increase.
All ages are accepted starting at age 8 and going well into the adult years.

Rates:
- $30.00 per hour for private lessons - (lessons usually go over 10 to 15 minutes)
- $25.00 per student - semi-private lessons (2 students)
- $20.00 per student - group lessons (3 students)

We have been renovating Sunnyfield Equestrian Farm since we were established in 2006. We are now ready to accept additional boarders. Our facility is sized just right to allow us to provide the individual care and attention the horses need. Our boarders are cared for just as we care for our own. Our boarders are like our family! Our indoor arena makes it great to enjoy riding during all types of weather, especially those hot summer days when shade is essential.
