Abbie is from Wilmington Ohio, and began her passion with horses at the age of 4 when she got her first pony. She grew up riding bareback around her farm and competed in western pleasure shows as a young girl, in 4H. As she grew up, she honed her skills with horses and built up a hometown reputation of being a well rounded horsemen.
At age 18, she then joined the United States Marine Corps.
After 4 years of active military duty, she decided to go back to her roots of equine and farm life. Abbie began training horses on the side for Equine behavioral correction which consisted of working with horses to learn new skills and correcting bad habits, to build overall confidence up for the horse.
She now is manager of the Sunnyfield barn and works with all matters pertaining to the care and maintenance of the horses on the premises. She takes great pride in her work and strives to be the best she can be, each day. Abbie is excited to continue her career in the Marine Corps Reserves while still being connected to her roots of farm life and assisting families within the area!

Daniella’s focal point in growing as an equestrian is understanding not only how to feel what the horses’ bodies are doing or how they are moving, but to also help the rider grasp how each movement, aid, and personal balance allow the horse to carry itself correctly. From the beginning of her riding career, our Trainer Daniella gained extensive experience learning how to ride all varieties of horses. As she progressed to the upper levels, she became skilled in recognizing weaknesses, quirks, and habits in horses in order to create customized exercises and methods to improve rideability. This developed her love for training and producing the upper most quality horse each time she is in the saddle. Daniella implements positive reinforcement techniques into each and every professional ride to encourage the desired response and behavior the horse offers.
Daniella has background starting horses from the ground up. She has started multiple 2-3 year olds for the first time, one being her personal pony in training. Off the track Thoroughbreds are not unfamiliar territory for her, as she has re-started many over the years, including her OTTB Mango.
Not only does Daniella offer training rides here at Sunnyfield, but she has capably competed horses for training purposes at horse shows over the years.
Whether your horse needs a tune-up every other week or requires consistent training or training board, Daniella can help your horse reach its full potential.
Daniella developed a life-long passion for horses at a young age, and with dedication and commitment, has grown into a proven professional trainer and rider with years of experience in the equine industry. She specializes in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings and has shown success with Champion ribbons from schooling level competitions all the way up to “A” and “AA” rated shows. Daniella has created a reputation as an accomplished rider and trainer for capably handling horses from the ground up of all types, including problem horses, restarting off the track thoroughbreds, breaking and training young horses for the first time and having equal respect and love for all breeds and sizes. After completing her Bachelors degree in Equine Studies from the prestigious Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College program, she spent time developing skills in and out of the saddle under multiple trainers as well as participating in clinics with renowned equestrian judges and clinicians such as R. Scot Evans and Bernie Traurig. In addition, she spent two years as an Equine Veterinary Technician refining her knowledge in equine medicine, lamenenss, and overall management and well-being. Daniella brings a classical approach to the modern riding technique that emphasizes understanding how the horse moves in response to how the rider correctly utilizes their aids, balance, and position. Striving to bring out the best horse and rider is a process she truly enjoys, as she works towards helping each individual fulfill, and eventually exceed their goals.
